Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Hypothyroidism: A Case Report

Abstract

The exact mechanism of developing dilated cardiomyopathy DCM in hypothyroidism is still unclear.
The possible influence of hypothyroidism on the etiology and progression of DCM is controversial. We have experienced a case of a 32-year-old female with DCM secondary to hypothyroidism that was improved after hormone replacement therapy.
